“I did not have any private meetings nor do I recall any conversations with any Russian officials at the Mayflower Hotel,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions testified on Tuesday before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

He said he did not “have any recollection or meeting” of talking to Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak “or any other Russian officials.”

“If any brief interaction occurred in passing with the Russian ambassador during that reception, I do not remember it,” Sessions said.

  1. “Doesn’t recall” is, naturally, a classic answer for “I’m not saying anything, because I don’t think you can prove it.” Of course he didn’t say “No!”

  2. I just had jury duty a couple months ago, and based on four days of hearing testimony, this is the point at which they start asking leading questions – “So, if you don’t recall talking to them, but the WaPo reports that you did, you wouldn’t have any reason to deny that, would you?”

  3. Too bad the FBI has the goods on him already.

  4. “Would you like to buy some photos or video of the meeting?”

  5. Does anyone know if Jeffy boy will be reprising his role as Beverley Leslie in the reboot of Will & Grace? I always liked the way sessions portrayed that character, it seemed like such an accurate representation of Jeff Sessions himself.
