Retiring Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ) critiqued Mitt Romney’s campaign for not effectively arguing its economic message, at a Foreign Policy Institute forum Tuesday, via Politico:
“His big argument was supposed to be economic, but he never really bothered to make that or let Paul Ryan make it. He let all of the other arguments, the ancillary arguments, which include a lot of national security matters slide because he wanted to keep focused on the first,” Kyl said Tuesday at the Foreign Policy Institute forum. “You’ve got to explain things. You’ve got to teach. You’ve got to lead.”
