Labor federation SEIU, a major backer of immigration reform efforts, is running a new ad calling for a bill that includes a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.
The new ad, titled “America,” will run on national cable stations as part of a $300,000 buy, according to SEIU.
“Our immigration system is broken,” the ad’s narrator says. “And Congress has a chance to fix it…the fair and accountable way. With back taxes paid, English learned and a real path to citizenship. No half measures. Let’s fix it once and for all. “
