Scott Walker speaks at the Republican party of Wisconsin State Convention in Milwaukee. Gov. Walker emerged with a major victory this week when a federal court halted a secret investigation into his 2012 recall campaign and conservative groups that supported him, ruling the probe was a breach of free-speech rights. The decision could boost his re-election campaign and better his prospects for a possible 2016 presidential run. (AP Photo/Jeffrey Phelps) MORE LESS

The conservative outside group Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is spending almost $900,000 in advertising to boost Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s (R) re-election campaign.

The pro-Walker ad doesn’t explicitly name him, but it does feature people talking directly into the camera about how the policies of the current governor’s administration are working.

Americans for Prosperity spokesman Christopher Neefus told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that his organization is spending $866,000 on the ads which will air across the state.

A recent Marquette University poll found Walker tied with Democrat Mary Burke in the Wisconsin gubernatorial race. Similarly, a March poll conducted by the Republican-leaning Rasmussen Reports also found Walker tied with Burke.
