If Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) changes her mind about running for President in 2016, she has the blessing of former opponent and ex-Sen. Scott Brown (R).

“No one knows her better than you do, senator, do you think she is running?” asked co-host Melissa Francis during the Fox News daytime talk show “Outnumbered” on Tuesday.

“I hope she runs. I encourage her to run,” said Brown, who lost to Warren in the 2012 Massachusetts Senate race. He added that “competition” would do the Democratic Party some good.

“If she runs,” Brown continued, “she will have to answer about her background and qualifications and in Massachusetts they—”

Co-host and former MTV personality Kennedy interjected.

“I think you want her to run because her economic populism will not go over well in the general election,” Kennedy said.

Brown then agreed with the panel that Warren would push Hillary Clinton further to the left were she to run in 2016.
