Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) on Monday morning urged Missouri Rep. Todd Akin to apologize for his Sunday comment that “legitimate rape” does not lead to pregnancy.
I found Todd Akin’s comments about rape victims outrageous and way over the line. He needs to apologize.

Akin has issued a statement saying he “misspoke,” and has acknowledged that rape can lead to pregnancy. Brown’s specific condemnation, however, indicates the pressure that Akin’s original comment could place on Republicans in close races in other states.
