In an interview with New York Magazine, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia said he has friends who are “homosexual.”

“I have friends that I know, or very much suspect, are homosexual. Everybody does,” Scalia said.

When the interviewer Jennifer Senior asked Scalia whether it was easier to be friends with ideological opponent Ruth Bader Ginsburg, he said, “I think there may be something to that. If you have low expectations, you’re not disappointed.”

He also said his favorite “sparring partner” was the now-retired Justice John Paul Stevens.
