Embattled San Diego Mayor Bob Filner (D) may be resisting a public recall effort in the wake of 14 different harassment allegations, but on Tuesday he appeared to draw his first private protest.
According to Francis Barraza, the executive director of the San Diego Republican party, the Hooters in Rancho Bernardo posted this notice refusing to serve the mayor because “women should be treated with respect.”
Barraza also tweeted that the decision comes from the top and applies to all of the city’s Hooters restaurants. A request for more information with the company was not immediately returned.
