Donald Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson, who has become a constant presence on cable news networks like CNN, appears to have been reprimanded after she insisted President Barack Obama was responsible for a Muslim-American soldier’s 2004 death, at least according to another campaign staffer.
Although national campaign co-chair Sam Clovis insisted “I’m not throwing Katrina under the bus” in a Thursday morning interview with CNN, he said, “we’re fixing it” when asked how the campaign was handling Pierson’s misstep.
“I guarantee you that won’t happen again with her, and it won’t likely happen again with someone else,” Clovis told CNN’s Alisyn Camerota.
Pierson offered a near-apology on Wednesday for blaming the death of Army Captain Humayun Khan on Obama and Hillary Clinton, even though Khan was killed in a suicide bombing during George W. Bush’s administration.
The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to inquiries from TPM about Pierson.

If a liar is reprimanded in a vacuum, was there a sound??
I guarantee you that won’t happen again with her, and it won’t likely happen again with someone else,”
Yes it will Sam, and most likely from you.
Gosh, I wonder what that “reprimand” consisted of…
Does this guy have a long, long session with Trump lined up? Or does the standard only apply to absurd spokespersons?
Wonder if the punishment involved having to sit on his lap?
