Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback (R) drew a round of boos from NCAA basketball fans on Sunday when he was shown wearing a T-shirt with logos from both Wichita State and Kansas, the Washington Post reported.
Brownback, who himself went to Kansas State, was seen in the crowd sporting the grey T-shirt on top of a pink button-down shirt.
The attempt to avoid taking sides caused an uproar on social media in addition to upsetting fans at the game. Twitter users also outed him for donning a Wichita State T-shirt once the Shockers had beat out the No. 2-ranked Jayhawks.

With the Kansas state economy rapidly approaching a Haiti-level disaster, I’m not sure anyone should be overly concerned about a t-shirt the evil asshat that caused said economic disaster is wearing at a basketball game…but that’s just me.
But I guess the boo’ing part is cool.
I was watching and was wondering if what I was hearing was really boos. Glad to know that it was!
As he was being booed he had what had to be the greasiest grin since Brandt in “The Big Lebowski” And no…he was not being booed for wearing that shirt, there were no KSU fans in Omaha yesterday. He was being booed for being a fricking putz.
And we know the fans were booing just for the t-shirt-- how?
