A new Electoral College analysis by the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics reveals that the map is only growing for Hillary Clinton and even South Carolina and Kansas have moved from “safe Republican” to “likely Republican.”
“By the way, we’re lowering Kansas and South Carolina from Safe Republican to Likely Republican after recent closer-than-expected surveys surfaced,” authors and political scientists Larry Sabato, Kyle Kondik and Geoffrey Skelley wrote.
The changes reflect just how dire the situation has become for Trump. While Sabato is still confident Kansas and South Carolina will vote for Trump, the vote totals there could be smaller than in past campaigns.
“We certainly don’t expect either Kansas or South Carolina to vote Democratic. Still, we have noticed that many deep red states may be preparing to produce lower-than-usual pluralities for Trump. It won’t matter in the Electoral College, of course, but it will be reflected in the national popular vote total,” they wrote.
The Center for Politics also moved Nebraska’s Second Congressional District from “leans Republican” to “leans Democratic,” and New Hampshire from “leans Democratic” to “likely Democratic.”
The center’s latest prediction is that Clinton will win 348 electoral votes to Trump’s 190.
“Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)” meet fan.
Is this not, in fact, good news for John McCain? People are saying…it’s out there…I read it on Twitter.
But this was the view from before the big pivot. Trump’s “regret” is a game changer!
Or so glorious and it will feel so good. Plan to do my part driving people to the polls in NE second district.
And Kansas, home of the Koch’s. Yes!
