Republican presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) held several “town halls” on Wednesday in South Carolina—but took zero questions.

The events had been changed from town halls to “rallies,” a spokeswoman for Rubio’s campaign told Politico. Rubio stayed about 40 minutes after delivering his stump speech at each event to talk to the crowd and to take selfies, according to the report.

Rubio was criticized at a recent GOP debate by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) for firing off “scripted” lines. He ended up repeating the same line about President Obama four times during that debate, almost verbatim, leading some people to jokingly surmise that he’s a “robot.”
