Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) sent out a five minute video on Wednesday explaining his support for the “Gang of 8’s” immigration bill to everyone who has ever e-mailed his office on the topic, according to his spokesman.
The arguments seem primarily aimed at quelling complaints on the right, a major concern for the senator this week. Rubio notes in the video that undocumented immigrants by the bill would “not access a single federal benefit — not Obamacare, not food stamps, not welfare, nothing,” and that the legislation includes a series of border security measures that must go into effect before they can apply for a green card after ten years.
