Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-FL) campaign website may have just started selling #NeverTrump merchandise, but Rubio made it clear Friday that “never” only applies to primary season.
Rubio appeared on Kentucky Sports Radio Friday morning, where host Matt Jones asked him if, given the choice between Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, he vote for Trump or stay home.
Echoing his comments from Thursday’s debate, Rubio said with a sigh that he would vote “for the nominee.”
“I’m going to vote for the nominee. It’s not going to be Donald Trump,” Rubio said. “I can’t even imagine that. I don’t even want to imagine that right now, to be honest with you.”
Rubio clarified that when he touts the #NeverTrump movement, he means that he would not vote for Trump in the Republican primary. When Jones mentioned that Rubio was running against Trump in the primary, Rubio lamented that Trump’s controversial candidacy was fracturing the Republican Party.
“If it was anybody else in first place right now, we would not be asked this question,” Rubio said. “I mean you don’t see Bernie Sanders being asked if he would vote for Hillary Clinton.”

Voting for the nominee, no matter who turns out to be the nominee, is the perfect example of caring more about your political party than about your country.
Sir, you are pathetic. Truly pathetic.
