Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) on Wednesday joined the criticism of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) following reports that the Cruz campaign told Iowa caucusgoers that Carson was dropping out of the race even though the retired neurosurgeon just had plans for a quick trip to Florida for a fresh set of clothes.

“Obviously we’ve all seen the reports of the rumors that he spread about Ben Carson, and we know those weren’t accurate. And I thought it was unfair to Ben,” Rubio said at a campaign stop in New Hampshire.

“I think it goes back to what I’ve said before, and that is a willingness to say or do anything, in this case spread a false rumor about Ben Carson,” he continued.

Carson has accused the Cruz campaign of using “dirty tricks” to gain supporters at the Iowa caucuses. The Texas senator has apologized, but he has insisted that members of his campaign were simply “passing on news reports.”

Donald Trump has said the Cruz campaign committed “fraud” and called for the Texas senator’s victory in Iowa to be “nullified.”

Short Rubio: I am enraged as that right belongs exclusive to ME; not to Cruz, Trump etc…

All one needed to do was watch one or two of Rubio’s Iowa commercials to realize that Rubio has no room to complain an example of point your finger at someone else so no one looks at me.

“One of the things I’m going to do on my first day is office is I will put the prestige and power of the presidency behind a constitutional convention of the states,” Rubio said as he campaigned in Iowa. “You know why? Because that is the only way that we are ever going to get term limits on members of Congress or the judiciary and that is the only way we are ever going to get a balanced-budget amendment.”

Is there a universally respected economist anywhere in the country willing to defend the feasibility of enacting and enforcing a balanced budget?
