Having scored some direct hits by aiming his attack ads at Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul is turning his guns on Rick Santorum, and his latest South Carolina ad reflects that.
The piece begins with pictures of Gingrich, and a voiceover that intones, “One serial hypocrite exposed.” It suddenly switches to pictures of Santorum. “Now another has emerged: Rick Santorum,” continues the narrator. “A corporate lobbyist and Washington politician. A record of betrayal.”
The Paul campaign is apparently spending $250,000 on the ad buy, which will start airing in the Palmetto State on Monday.
