Mitt Romney mentioned the Medicare attack his campaign has made a pillar of his campaign’s message in his convention speech in Tampa Thursday.

“[Obama’s] $716 billion cut to Medicare to finance Obamacare will both hurt today’s seniors, and depress innovation – and jobs – in medicine,” Romney said.

Romney began attacking Obama over the cuts when he added Paul Ryan to the ticket, even though the cuts — which go to providers, not beneficiaries — are also included in the Ryan’s budget plan.
