The Romney campaign released a new ad in Florida Thursday ahead of Presdient Obama’s campaign stop in Orlando. The ad calls Obama a “disappointment” and accuses him of taking his eye off the ball when it comes to shoring up the economy.

“Four years ago, Barack Obama was concerned about Florida’s economy,” a narrator says. Then the ad runs through a litany of poor statistics about the Florida economy. “He focused on Obamacare instead of jobs,” the narrator concludes. “Barack Obama: what a disappointment.”

As the Tampa Bay Times points out, the ad is at odds with Gov. Rick Scott’s more optimistic economic message: “The downbeat message is another reminder of the mixed messages Florida voters are getting. Gov. Rick Scott has been for months touting job growth and other signs of improvement.”
