Mitt Romney during a press conference with his latest endorser, Chris Christie, called on Rick Perry to “repudiate” the anti-mormon pastor who called Mormonism a “cult.”

The AP reports that Perry, through his spokesman, refuses to disavow the pastor, Robert Jeffress.

Jeffress, who endorsed Perry at the Values Voter Summit, said Mormonism a “cult.” Perry campaign responded to the remark, saying the Texas governor does not believe the religion is a “cult,” but that he “doesn’t judge what is in the heart and soul of others.”
