Josh Romney on Tuesday tweeted a photo of his father, Mitt Romney, paying his taxes, alluding to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-NV) charge during the 2012 election that Mitt Romney did not pay his taxes for ten years.
Hey @SenatorReid here’s a shot of @MittRomney paying taxes. Does it every year. It’s how you get your paycheck. pic.twitter.com/DwSMXzYhuR

Reid claimed that an official at Bain Capital, Romney’s former employer, told him that the presidential candidate hadn’t paid his taxes. And Reid used the statistic to call on Romney to release his tax returns.
Romney disputed Reid’s claim, but Reid stood by his remarks.
It later came out that Reid heard that Romney hadn’t paid taxes from Jon Hunstman Sr., according to a book by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann called “Double Down.” Huntsman denied that he was Reid’s source.
Anyone wanna bet that I pay a higher effective rate that Mitten’s the tax-dodging cheat does?
Oh, hahaha Josh Romney! You sure showed Harry Reid. Now, Obama’s totally gonna lose and Harry Reid’s gonna be out of a job. It’s totally believable that Mitt Romney goes and stands in line at the post office in order to pay his taxes. 1/4 billionaires do that all the time!
Hey Josh sending in a tax return does not equal paying taxes.
Nobody ever said Romney didn’t file his returns. Quite different from paying a fair rate.
Nah that’s a restaurant line and he’s reading the menu. I strongly doubt Mittens is filling out his 1040 whilst standing in line like a commoner. Lastly if he is paying his taxes this way it is strangely weird. I mail mine in. Or if in a hurry my accountant emails the info to the IRS. Is Josh Romney actually saying his Dad stands in a line?
