The Romney campaign is trying to go on offense again, attacking President Obama for preferring a path of wealth “redistribution” in a memo put out Wednesday morning from campaign manager Matt Rhoades. The Romney campaign and the RNC have used a video of Obama expressing support for “redistribution” in 1998 as a counter to the leaked footage of Romney saying 47 percent of Americans see themselves as victims.
The memo quotes Obama saying “I actually believe in redistribution, at least at a certain level to make sure everybody’s got a shot,” and claims this approach has failed over the last four years. In contrast, the memo says Romney’s approach is “what an opportunity society is all about.”
