Mitt Romney will bring in $5 million in two days, CNN reports. According to the campaign’s finance chairman, Spencer Zwick, the money will come from events in New York and New Jersey held Wednesday and Thursday.
On Thursday morning Romney attended a breakfast hosted by New York Jets owner Woody Johnson that brought in $1.5 million alone. On top of the $2,500 ticket price, some attendees paid $10,000 for a picture with Romney.
July became the third month in a row that the Romney campaign raised more than Obama’s, $101 million to $75 million.
