Real estate mogul Donald Trump criticized Ohio Gov. John Kasich during Wednesday’s Republican debate on CNBC for his career at the failed Wall Street firm Lehman Brothers. But Trump wasn’t the only person who criticized the governor. After Kasich said he was against marijuana legalization, longtime Trump loyalist (and former adviser) Roger Stone tweeted this:
Hypocrisy ? I fired John Kasich from the 1976 Reagan Campaign … For selling pot to other field men

Kasich’s campaign told Cleveland.com on Wednesday night that Kasich’s supervisor on Ronald Reagan’s presidential campaign was Charlie Black, not Stone.
Black told the website that Kasich “was very diligent.”
“This is the first time I ever heard anyone mention drugs in connection with John Kasich. He was not fired. He certainly was not fired for drugs,” Black told Cleveland.com.
Update: Stone responded to the allegations that he lied about the 1976 campaign and has stood by his original statement.
So JohnKasich and gonif @JWGOP freak out over my claim Kasich sold pot during 76 Reagan campaign – I stand by my statement – memory clear
