Toronto Mayor Rob Ford admitted that he had been ticketed for jaywalking in Vancouver Friday, but denied that he was drunk at the time, the Globe and Mail reported.

Ford told the Toronto Sun that he had been given a $109 “for disobeying a pedestrian sign” shortly after he arrived in Vancouver for a funeral. A reported eyewitness told the Globe and Mail that Ford had also been stopped for public drunkenness.

Ford asserted that all he’d had to drink was a Diet Coke.
