Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said Sunday that he’s “not at odds” with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s campaign despite the real estate mogul’s rhetoric.
Trump has railed against the RNC, saying that nomination process is “rigged” and unfair. Priebus called Trump’s words “hyperbole.”
“I’m not at odds. I’m really not at odds,” Priebus said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “There’s nothing that the RNC can do to alter the rules between now and the convention. It’s not the RNC’s place. So I don’t internalize — I don’t sit here and internalize the charge because there’s no there there because there’s nothing the RNC can do about it.”
