Rick Santorum has yet to endorse Mitt Romney, but it doesn’t sound like he’s going to be a bitter holdout. He took to CNN shortly after Romney’s victory speech on Tuesday night to all but declare his support for the presumptive nominee.

“It’s very clear he’s going to be the Republican nominee and I’m going to be for the Republican nominee and we’re going to do everything we can to defeat Barack Obama,” Santorum told Piers Morgan.

Pushed by Morgan as to whether Santorum’s languaged constituted an endorsement, he replied “well, if that’s what you want to call it, you can call it whatever you want.”

Santorum said he and his wife, Karen, would be meeting with Romney and his staff in the coming days to discuss the race.
