Republican presidential candidate former Texas Gov. Rick Perry no longer has a campaign staff in New Hampshire, according to a Wednesday report from the Texas Tribune.

Perry’s former political director in New Hampshire, Dante Vitagliano has defected to the Ohio Gov. John Kasich’s campaign, according to the Tribune.

“It has become clear that the path forward for Gov. Perry is not through New Hampshire,” he said.

Perry’s staffing levels in other early caucus and primary states are looking grim: In Iowa, the campaign reduced itself from 10 paid staffers to one paid staffer in August.
