Republicans Take Medicare Fight To House Races

The National Republican Congressional Committee launched an offensive over Medicare Monday, attacking five Democratic House incumbents and three congressional candidates for cutting Medicare by endorsing “Obamacare.” The attacks echo the presidential race, in which Mitt Romney is attacking President Obama for cutting $716 billion from Medicare in order to pay for the Affordable Care Act. 

The ads going up Monday target Reps. Lois Capps (CA-24), John Barrow (GA-12), Bruce Braley (IA-01), Leonard Boswell (IA-03) and Ben Chandler (KY-06) and candidates Gary McDowell (MI-01),  Jamie Wall (WI-08) and David Gill (IL-13).
