Four Republican Ohio state legislators have sued to stop the state from expanding Medicaid, the day after a legislative board approved a request from Gov. John Kasich (R) to fund the expansion.

The Columbus Dispatch reported the lawsuit Tuesday. Two Right to Life chapters joined the lawmakers in the lawsuit, which alleges that the board acted outside of its authority.

Kasich unilaterally expanded the program’s eligibilty and sought funding approval from the board after his plan for expansion was stymied by the GOP-controlled legislature earlier this year.
