The suspected Washington Navy Yard shooter has died, a federal law enforcement official told the Associated Press Monday. NBC also confirmed the shooter was dead.

At least four people were reported to have died in the incident, with several more injured.

Two civilians and one metropolitan police officer suffered gun shot wounds and are in critical condition at Washington Hospital Center, the Chief Medical Officer told reporters Monday. All three are expected to survive.
