Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi took to Twitter Tuesday to call on the country’s military to withdraw its ultimatum, which called on the Islamist president to reach an agreement with his opponents by the end of Wednesday, or else the military would dissolve both Egypt’s constitution and legislature, according to various reports.

His actual tweet was in Arabic, but CNN’s Ben Wedeman provided this rough translation of it:

Pres. Morsi calls, on twitter, on Egyptian Army to withdraw ultimatum, rejects internal, external dictates. Temperature up. #30June #Egypt
