Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn (D) will sign the state’s marriage equality bill Wednesday on Abraham Lincoln’s desk, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Sources told Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed that the desk Lincoln used to write his first inaugural address will be shipped Wednesday morning from Springfield, Ill. to Chicago.

Illinois will become the 16th state to legalize same sex marriage, just a week after Hawaii did the same.
