The National Security Agency still doesn’t know the full scope of what was taken by former government contractor Edward Snowden, NBC News reported Tuesday.

Sources told NBC that the agency is “overwhelmed” as it continues to determine the impact of Snowden’s actions, more than two months removed from the sweeping intelligence leak.

The report contradicts officials like NSA Director Keith Alexander, who have said that the government knows the extent of what Snowden took. But the sources told NBC that the agency still doesn’t know how many documents Snowden took or what they are.
