A “modified” lockdown order was lifted for Newtown, Conn. schools on Monday, according to ABC News.
Per a Hartfourd Courant report, a telephone threat prompted the lockdown order. The Newtown High School Twitter feed has more information:
District assessing phone threat to other building.Buses delayed.High School is on SOFT lockdown until threat is assessed.
