The two teenage girls killed Saturday in the San Francisco airplane crash were Chinese students en route to summer camp in the United States, airline officials reported Sunday, according to CNN.

Ye Mengyuan and Wang Linjia, both 16, were from the eastern city of Jiangshan. Their bodies are believed to have been found on the runway.

Chinese President Xi Jinping “mourned for Chinese citizens who lost their lives in the plane crash and expressed his condolences to their families as well as survivors of the crash,” Xinhua reported Sunday.

There were 16 crew members and 91 passengers, including 70 Chinese students and teachers, on the San Francisco bound flight from Seoul, South Korea.
