One suspect in the deadly attack on the office of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo was killed and two others are in custody, anonymous U.S. officials told NBC News.

French officials had reportedly identified three suspects earlier Wednesday evening.

Two of the suspects are brothers, ages 34 and 32, and the third suspect is an 18-year-old, according to news reports.

The Associated Press and The Telegraph reported the suspects names based on reports from anonymous French officials. The two brothers are allegedly Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi and are both French nationals. Reports named Hamyd Mourad as the third suspect.

On Wednesday morning, three gunmen carried out an attack on the headquarters of Charlie Hebdo, killing 12 and injuring 11 others.
