ABC News host George Stephanopoulos asked Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus on Sunday if he was actually prepared for presidential candidate Donald Trump to be the GOP nominee.

Stephanopoulos noted that Trump had before supported Democrats, criticized former President Bush on weapons of mass destruction, and advocated for torture.

“Sir, are you really prepared to have him as spokesperson for the Republican Party and to lead a convention that nominates him?” Stephanopoulos asked.

Priebus said he was prepared to support the nominee.

“If the delegates, you know, get accumulated in such a way that any one of these candidates becomes the nominee, it’s our job to support that nominee and we will,” Priebus responded. “Uh, so, yes, we’re prepared to support whoever the nominee becomes.”
