As the House continues to pass partial spending bills rather than the Senate bill to re-open the entire government, a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) took to Twitter to lambast House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) for failing to deliver on his promise to pass a clean funding bill.

Adam Jentleson, Reid’s communications director, said that Boehner had approached Reid first about a spending bill that maintained sequestration without touching Obamacare. That’s the bill that the Senate passed prior to the shutdown.

Boehner also said, according to Jentleson, that he could get the bill through the House. The series of Saturday morning tweets is below.
