Shortly after terminating Ray Rice’s contract on Monday, the Baltimore Ravens scrubbed a tweet indicating that the running back’s wife had taken some responsibility for a domestic violence incident earlier this year.
The tweet was published in May, but it was widely circulated on Monday after a video emerged reportedly showing Rice punching his then-fiancee, Janay Palmer, inside an Atlantic City hotel elevator.

The footage has sparked tremendous public outrage, prompting the Ravens to cut Rice and the NFL to suspend him indefinitely.

They’re not referred to as dumb jocks for nothing.
Because digging the hole deeper is a long-used method of coverup and always looks good.
I just hope this young woman is in a safe place. She could easily be victimized again, if so I’d hold the NFL and the media to blame.
