A snap poll from Rasmussen conducted completely on Tuesday shows former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum with a twelve point lead on former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney nationally. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich gets 15 percent while Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) sees 10 in the new numbers. “Just over a week ago, it was Romney leading the pack with 34% after his win in the Florida Primary, followed by Gingrich 27%, Santorum 18% and Paul 11%,” Ras wrote. “But then last week Santorum swept GOP caucuses in Colorado and Minnesota and a non-binding primary in Missouri as Gingrich continues to stumble in the race to be the conservative alternative to Romney.”

The current TPM Poll Average shows Santorum with a small lead on Romney, combining all national data.
