Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) on Sunday said he is considering a run for president in 2016.
“The thought has crossed my mind,” he said on “Fox News Sunday” when asked about a potential 2016 bid.
Paul said that while he is considering a run, he is trying to take his family’s opinion into account. His wife is against him running in 2016, Paul told guests at a Detroit Economic Club event Saturday.
Rand Paul is considered one of the front-runners for the GOP nomination in 2016, and has hinted before that he may run.
