Rep. Ralph Hall (R-TX) in recent years has spent more than $33,000 in campaign money on orders from Honey Baked Foods and Godiva Chocolatier, BuzzFeed reported on Friday.

Campaign finance records show Hall’s campaign spent more than $14,000 on Honey Baked Foods orders around the holidays in 2012 and 2013, and spent an additional $19,000 on Godiva in December 2013.

“These are gifts that the congressman has been giving out for years to constituents,” Ed Valentine, a Hall campaign adviser, told BuzzFeed. “They’re Christmas gifts. They’re birthday gifts. That’s how Ralph works. He likes Christmas.”
