The progressive advocacy group CREDO Action will be part of a growing coalition of groups pressing Democrats to embrace Medicare for All if the Supreme Court strikes or guts the Affordable Care Act.

“We need to do now what we should have done then — go for a single-payer healthcare system,” said Becky Bond, Political Director of CREDO Action. “Medicare is popular. It’s constitutional. It works. Americans need Medicare for all.”

From the (possible) letter CREDO will send supporters Thursday: “America’s health care system is in crisis, there’s no more time for half-measures and unworkable compromises when we know Medicare already works. Medicare is extremely popular and unquestionably constitutional. We should open it to everyone: It’s time for Medicare for All.”
