Law enforcement said Friday while the investigation into superstar Prince’s death is in its early stages, there is “no reason to believe” his death was a suicide.

Prince Rogers Nelson, 57, was found unresponsive in an elevator Thursday at his Paisley Park estate outside of Minneapolis, Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson said in a press conference.

There were no obvious signs of trauma on Prince’s body, and Olson said no one else was found in the home after processing the scene.

Asked about a report from TMZ that Prince was treated for a drug overdose days before his death, the sheriff said he could not confirm if anything was taken from the house as part of the ongoing investigation.

The results of the autopsy, completed Friday, could take several weeks, a spokeswoman for the office said.

Olson repeatedly reminded reporters the investigation is only 29 hours old.
