Wisconsinites might be open to changing the state’s laws for recall election, according to a new Marquette Law School poll.
Fifty percent said they would be in favor of amending the rules to allow recalls only in case of criminal wrongdoing, compared with 44 percent in favor of keeping the law as it is. The survey of 707 registered voters was conducted from June 13-16, and has a 4.1 percent margin of error.
The last time Marquette asked the same question in January 2012, 43 percent favored changing the process, compared with 53 percent for keeping it as it is.
