The vote on a state constitutional amendment banning gay marriage in Minnesota is locked in a statistical tie, according to a poll released Thursday commissioned by KSTP-TV and conducted by SurveyUSA. Forty-seven percent of the 550 likely voters surveyed said they would support the amendment, which would define marriage between one man and one woman, while 46 percent of those polled said they would vote against it. The survey had a margin of error of 4.3 percent.
The PollTracker average shows opinions on the amendment nearly identical, with 47 percent opposing and 46.7 percent in support.
