A poll released Monday by the Boston Globe shows a dead heat in the Massachusetts Senate race between Republican Sen. Scott Brown and Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren.

The poll initially shows Brown with an edge, 45 percent to 43 percent. However, after undecided voters were asked which candidate they were leaning toward, the two are tied at 47 percent each. The survey of 583 likely voters was conducted Oct. 24-28, by the University of New Hampshire, and has a 4.1 percent margin of error.

Warren still has a solid lead in the PollTracker Average, 50.5 percent to 45.2 percent, based on other recent polls that have given her more than 50 percent support.
