The new Marquette University Law School poll of Wisconsin gives Mitt Romney the lead over Rick Santorum in the state’s Republican primary, which is coming up next week on Tuesday, April 3.
The numbers: Romney 39%, Santorum 31%, Paul 11%, and Gingrich 5%. The survey of Republican primary voters was conducted from March 22-25, and has a ±5.4% margin of error.
In the previous Marquette poll from mid-February, Santorum led with 34%, followed by Romney at 18%, Paul 17%, and Gingrich 12%.
The TPM Poll Average gives Romney 35%, Santorum 31%, Paul 11%, and Gingrich 5%.
