The vast majority of Republicans agree with former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s accusation that President Barack Obama doesn’t “love America,” according to a new poll.

A HuffPost/YouGov poll released Tuesday found that just 11 percent of Republicans believed Obama loves America.

Meanwhile, the poll showed 85 percent of Democrats said they believed Obama loves America.

The poll also found 47 percent of respondents overall believed Obama loves the country while 20 percent weren’t sure.

Giuliani made the now-infamous remark last week at a private dinner in Manhattan attended by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R). In the following days, the matter of whether or not Obama “loves America” became the hypothetical GOP presidential field’s latest litmus test as potential candidates from Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) to Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) weighed in — or in Walker’s case, declined to opine — on the ex-mayor’s comments.

The HuffPost/YouGov poll surveyed 1,000 adults through an online questionnaire from Feb. 20-23. The survey had a margin of error of 4.1 percentage points.
