Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) leads her Democratic opponent, hotel CEO Jim Graves, in a poll released Monday.
Bachmann, a national tea party star who ran an unsuccessful campaign for president in the Republican primaries, leads with 50 percent against Graves with 41 percent, according to SurveyUSA. The survey of 598 likely voters was conducted Oct. 9 through 11, and has a 4.1 percent margin of error.
The poll also shows Mitt Romney easily leading President Obama in the district, 53 percent to 36 percent. Previously in 2008, John McCain carried the district against Obama, 53 percent to 45 percent.
